Chris Darling - Owner/Broker
Chris Darling is a licensed Real Estate Broker (#00958933) with over 33 years of property management experience. She has worked in both commercial and residential property management since 1986, leasing and managing shopping centers, professional buildings, multi-family and single family homes. In 1999, Chris moved to the Fresno area where she worked for a large, Fresno based, property management company, her main focus being single-family homes and small apartment complexes. This is also the company where she met her future boss and friend, Terry Fox. After Terry formed Fox Property Management in 2005, Chris went to work for him as head of the Leasing Department and Senior Property Manager. In Fall, 2017, Chris purchased the company from Terry after he decided to retire.
Chris received her California Sales Agent License in 1986, and in spring 2017, obtained her Real Estate Brokers License. Chris has held the California Certified Residential Manager (CCRM) designation from the California Apartment Association since 2011 and was awarded the Property Supervisor of the Year for 2014. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Fresno division of the California Apartment Association.
Originally from Los Angeles, Chris, her husband Matt, and their four children, have lived in the Fresno area for over 20 years.
Clarissa Hernandez - Maintenance Coordinator
Clarissa has been with Fox Property Management since 2016 and was recently promoted to Maintenance Coordinator. In this new position, Clarissa handles maintenance and repair requests for 450+ properties, working diligently to coordinate scheduling between vendors and tenants. She is the interface between our residents and our vendors.
Clarissa is currently working toward her Business Management Degree at University of Phoenix. She grew up in the Central Valley and enjoys going on road trips and spending time with family and friends.
David Perez - Controller
David Perez joined the Fox Property Management team in the Spring of 2017. In his position as Controller, David brings decades of accounting experience to the table. Detailed and precise, with a smile, is the best way to describe his attitude. There is no accounting mystery that he cannot solve. Prior to joining Fox Property Management, David was in the staffing industry for over twenty years. In his spare time, David enjoys the occasional home improvement project. His To-Do List is incessant; having purchased a home that was neglected by the previous owner. Fortunately, David likes to watch HGTV and DIY, which offer copious ideas for necessary repairs and future projects. His favorite pastimes include reading, writing short stories, dining out with friends and family and traveling by cruise ship as often as possible.
Fabiola Aldama - Administrative Assistant
“Fabi” is the newest member of Fox Property Management, arriving in fall 2019, bringing over 10 years of property management experience to our team. Her prior experience working for a large, Fresno based property management company, gave her extensive experience managing and leasing multi-family properties with up to 300+ units.
Fabi’s goal is to provide the best customer service to our renters and owners and most likely is the voice you’ll hear when you call our offices. She will always greet you with a warm smile if you walk in the door!
Fabi is currently working on her California State Real Estate Agent’s License and hopes to be completed and licensed in 2020.
Originally from Los Angeles, Fabi and her husband decided to relocate to Fresno 5 years ago to offer a better school system for their 2 children. Fabi loves to travel and venture out with her family and especially enjoys participating in all types of sports. Her favorite thing to do is take long walks at sunrise with her dog Boomer.
Laura Solorio – Leasing Department Administrative Assistant
Laura Solorio has been with Fox Property Management for over 13 years and has almost 27 years’ experience in residential property management. In her role as Leasing Department Administrative Assistant, Laura schedules showings of properties, handles move-in and move-out inspections, and processes applications for vacancies. Laura was awarded the California Certified Residential Manager (CCRM) designation from the California Apartment Association in 2012.
Originally from Flint, Michigan, Laura resides in Fresno with her husband Gabriel and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Shirley Wells - Leasing Agent
Shirley Wells is a licensed real estate Agent (DRE #01518499) with over 10 years of real estate experience. She has previously worked with one of the largest Real Estate companies in Fresno before deciding to make the move to residential property management. Shirley has worked at Fox Property Management over 4 ½ years as a Leasing Agent. When you call the rental phoneline, you will most likely reach Shirley. In this role she takes rental calls, and schedules and shows properties. She also performs property inspections, and tenant move- ins and move-outs. Shirley was awarded the California Certified Residential Manager (CCRM) designation from the California Apartment Association in 2016.
Shirley and her husband have owned and operated a local auto repair facility in Fresno for over 27 years and she is a Notary Public for the state of California.
When Shirley isn’t working, you can find her walking the California beaches, traveling, cycling, home decorating, writing blogs and articles, and attending her husband’s softball games.
Shirley is originally from the Bay Area, currently lives in Fresno and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Terry A. Fox
Prior to founding Fox Property Management in May, 2005, Terry A. Fox was a partner and property manager of a large regional management company specializing in association and residential properties. In a previous job Terry served as the Vice President for Marketing, Business Development and Operations for another large regional residential property management company. Prior to that he was the owner of a management consulting and training firm called The Management Edge.
Terry moved to Fresno in early 1987 after serving over 20 years in the US Army in a variety of command and management positions throughout the United States and overseas. He retired as a Major in February 1987. Terry is originally from Southern California.
Terry has a Masters of Science in Business Administration degree from Boston University and an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Nebraska. He has been awarded the designation of CERTIFIED PROPERTY MANAGER® from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) and received the Property Supervisor of the Year Award for 1998 from the California Apartment Association.
In Fall, 2017, Terry decided it was time to retire and sold the business to his longtime employee and friend, Chris Darling. Terry and his wife Frankie enjoy traveling and spending as much time as possible with their grandkids.
